I’m Joanna, but feel free to call me “Jo”.
I am - as you probably guessed - a wedding photographer! The whole story is so much longer.. but let me tell you shortly what made me choose such an incredible path in life.
The answer is simple - it’s love. I was always a bit of an artist, a flower-powered girl, hopeless romantic; but didn’t realise it until I took the first family photographs in my life. The possibility to capture real, intimate emotions, creating a little story for my friend, a story of one lovely afternoon with her dearest: daughter and partner. It changed EVERYTHING. My excitement after I got back home and uploaded photos, the editing and finally her happiness and appreciation after she received the images was something out of the world I never felt before. That was IT. Pure love captured for a lifetime.
And I never looked back..

I have to say hi to all of the dogs, despite I’m a devoted cat lover. And alpaca lover. I just love animals.
I also love dinosaurs, my favourite one is T-rex.
I used to be a dancer for over half of my life! This is how I met my fiancé! Now I’m just bouncing on the weddings pursuing my dream as a photographer
My favourite music is funk from the 70’s & 80’s. I love disco vibes because last night a DJ saved my life from a broken heart.
My beloved place is Scotland, but I find happiness in all the open spaces, especially mountains, lakes and forests.
I’m a Fine Art student, happy to paint weird abstract stuff and read about art history.
My approach & style.
I’d say unobtrusive and authentic.
Yet, you need to know I will not blend into the background. I’m more like an extra bridesmaid/female groomsman or guest. I’ve heard a few times that I have a bubbly personality and I think it’s quite the correct description. I’ll try to be everywhere, making sure I catch all special moments, both big and small ones. I am a seeker of tears of joy, shy smiles, belly laughs, silly expressions, sunsets.. or sunrises, interesting fog or clouds - what is more likely in the UK.
I will not stage what happens during the day, I’m going to be an extra pair of eyes that have a truly special power to collect the moments and turn them into timeless memories. Documenting and witnessing moments when two people are saying vows to each other, promising to spend the rest of their lives together in front of their family and friends is an honour for me, so I strive to capture the real connection and show the spirit of couple’s first day as newlyweds.
For me photographing is so much more than pressing a button. I care about every step on the way starting from the relationship with couples, photographic on the day with passion and the editing process. I use subtle colour-grading to enhance the romantic feel of the day, but still keeping it natural and timeless. That means golden sunsets, beautiful blue skies or moody fog. It’s crucial for me to interpret the atmosphere of the day through editing and add that artistic twist to them.
